We are searching for for a Drafting Designer that performs layout tasks for moderately complex to complex integrated microwave assemblies; designs sub-systems products from the electrical or mechanical aspect; draws and revises detailed parts, assemblies and installation from schematics drawings to produce layouts; basic engineering calculations for line impedance, temperature rise and voltage drop in RF and DC circuits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
 
Generate layouts and new drawings with engineering input (schematics, block diagrams, flow charts); incorporate engineering change orders involving complex design changes.
 
Perform moderately complex to complex hybrid, Printed Wiring Board (PWB) and RF substrate layout changes.
 
Liaison between Responsible Engineer and Mechanical Engineer for design layout.
 
Recommend selection of component hardware, printed circuit board material, tooling and metal.
 
Prepare parts list input and assigns all drawing documentation to drafting staff.
 
Calculate mechanical assembly approach for manufacturing and production.
 
Collaborate with Engineers in the validation of design standards and other Engineer processes.


MInimum Job Qualifications:
 
Eight + (8) years of related experience. Associate’s degree in Drafting, required; previous experience in RF and electro-mechanical design, preferred
 
Communication skills: ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities
 
Computer skills: working in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface using Power Point, Excel and Word software programs; ability to use computer-aided design software suites; AutoCAD, Solidworks, Camastic, and PADS computer-aided design software; ability to work with 3D models
 
Math & Analytical skills: intermediate mathematical skills, including geometry; review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and  ability to collect, analyze and summarize information to a general understanding
 
Time Management and organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments;
